Michael Arbirk has worked with tourism
development in the Lake Victoria region since year 2000. Especially through investments in Ukerewe District, Tanzania. The idea is to show tourists that there is so much more to explore in Tanzania together with visiting the national parks and Kilimanjaro. 

The principle is ONE-WAY. A tourist shall in general be advised to continue forward instead of turning around going back on the same road. There will always be something to explore in the front. 

The only issue is knowledge. The tourist shall have an idea of the possibilities – the scope of activities possible and the tourist guide shall have inspiration too. 

Uwazi https://uwazi.com/ shall try to give the visitable places around Lake Victoria and beyond a space for exposure for a wider audience. 

NB. The website use the shameplant – (don’t touch me - mimosa pudica) – as a logo. The mimosa plant closes the leaves when touched and the one touching get very surprised the first time experiencing this. That is a real NEW experience, which is symbolising exactly what tourism is all about.

Michael Arbirk aliwahi kushughulikia mambo ya maendeleo ya utalii Kanda la Ziwa Viktoria tangu mwaka 2000. Hasa kwa kuwekeza hela wilaya ya Ukerewe. Tanzania. Anapenda kuonesha kwamba kuna vivutio vingi kwa watalii kugundua pakoja kutembelea mbuga za wanyama pori ama Kilimanjaro. 

Kimsingi ni KWENDA MBELE. Mtalii asingeshauriwa kurudi kwenye nyayo yake kutumia barabara aliyetumia. Mbele kuna uwezekano wa kugundua na kuelewa mambo mapya kila kona. 

Ni jambo la ujuzi. Kwa hiyo mtalii anahitaji kufahamu uwezekano wa shughuli mbele – kuelewa hataenda bure mbele. Pia waongozaji wa watalii wawe na sehemu kupata maoni ya sehemu kuweka kwenye ratiba ya watalii.
